XBL Tuesday: Wordament v2.0

It’s Xbox Live Wednesday and do you know what that means? New Xbox Live games for Windows Phone!

This week’s new Xbox Live game is Wordament by You vs. the Internet. Some of you might be thinking, “wait, this isn’t a new game!” Well, you’re just about right as you are wrong. The smash hit Boggle-style online game that you could have downloaded from the Marketplace yesterday remains available today, but with some important changes to go along with its new Xbox Live branding.

Wordament has been updated to version 2.0 with today’s (ahead of schedule) release and as such comes with a new look, new features like Guest Mode, Xbox Live support for Achievements and Leaderboards, and more. However if you already play Wordament you don’t have to install anything new — you can update the game through the Marketplace and keep playing, but you’ll have to use your Live account so you’ll lose your progress with the original username. Anyway there’s more to it than that so here’s the official description of the game:

The hit Windows Phone 7 game- now with Xbox LIVE! Come play the game that thousands are playing, earn achievements and compete against friends and frenemies alike on the Leaderboards.

This version is loaded with new features including:

  • A completely updated visual design with beautiful backgrounds
  • By Request- ‘Contains’- reveal every word a tile makes up on the results screen
  • Guest Mode- let someone else play, without compromising your stats
  • Multiple Languages- Currently UI only, but watch our blog for information on updates
  • Now with sounds! (Optional in the options menu)
  • Performance Improvements
  • Much, much more!

Wordament is available in the Marketplace for free and current users should receive the update to version 2.0 from the Marketplace tile.

Click on the tile or Web Marketplace link below to get the game.
