Rumor: Verizon’s Samsung ATIV Odyssey due out on January 24th

Samsung’s perpetually delayed ATIV Odyssey for Verizon may finally see the light of day, and much sooner than we thought.

According to leakster @evleaks, Verizon has plans to release the mid-range Samsung handset on January 24th, 2012. In case you haven’t glanced at the calendar lately, that’s exactly one week from today. They have also included a new close-up render of the Windows Phone 8 handset, which can be seen after the break.

Considering @evleaks was the origin of the first ATIV Odyssey images, which proved to be accurate, we have no doubt that this rumor is likely true. However, we’re a little less confident in Verizon’s ability to push out the phone in such a timely manner so we are forced to tag this as a rumor until we hear it from the horse’s mouth.
